At present, power coal supply is still in a state of relative tension, the sources of coal take on a diversified trend ,this caused the problem that coal type and boiler can not match with each other.The adaptability of coal type and boiler mainly depends on the matching relationship between the structure of bolier and the coal quality.Because the structure of the bolier which have been entered the commercial operation is unchanged, the adaptability of coal type and boiler can be improved if the coal which was put into the bolier was similar to the designed coal. However,in the actual operation of power plants, the change of coal is a common thing.when the coal which was put into the bolier have some larger deviations with the designed coal, the problem that the boiler structure cannot match the characteristics of coal may occur. all these will bring about some adverse impact on the operation of the power plant.In this paper,the problem that the matching relationship between the structure of bolier and the coal quality was not good occurred in one power plant in Zhuhai. First of all, combustion, burn-off and ash melting characteristics of the different single-coal ( A Coal, B Coal, C Coal and D Coal ) and blend coals were analyzed. Test results showed that both of stability and burn-off of coal combustion was better , A coal , C coal and the blend coal between these two are easy slagging and other coals are not. And then based on the above results,calculating and analyzing the coupling character between the coal and boiler, The results showed that the adaptabilityof the single and blend coal and boiler structure and is better, in other words, the 600MW power plant boilers'combustion stability and burn-off were good and it's not easy to appear serious slagging problem. According to the results of laboratory analysis,constitute blending coal project and achieve blending coal burning test.The results of field test shows that: Laboratory analysis and forecasting coincide with the actual situation, single-coal and blend coals'combustion are well, some coals slagging, but don't affect normal operation. Among them, the coal C and D in which add a certain proportion A coal adaptability are good, and also can solve the problems to which attributed burn non-designed coal just like the security and stability of the boiler, efficient low-pollution emissions and so on.At the same time,the match of coal and boiler issue in which occurred in some power plant are analyzed and compared in this paper, provide some reference to resolve similar problems for the people who design the power plant boiler and do the operation and management work in power plant.
