AC servo axial piston hydraulic motor pump integrates highly swash plate axial piston pump into permanent magnet synchronous motor. The structure is based on permanent magnet synchronous motor and there is a swash plate axial piston pump in the rotor. It has many advantages, such as, compact structure, small volume, high power density, low noises level and vibrations, high reliability and so on. Because of the special design of flow channels on the shell of motor, it can achieve the purpose of self-cooling when the flowing liquid take away the heat that produced during the motor pump working, removing the cooling fan of normal motor, reducing the noises caused by fan.Nowadays, with the application of computer technology and the rapid development of numerical computing technology, it becomes more and more effective to use the numerical calculation method to research the flow field distribution of the hydraulic system and the hydraulic components. This paper makes a better deep research on flow field distribution, efficiency of the axial piston hydraulic motor pump and experiment on the prototype by using numerical simulation, theoretical analysis and experimental analysis together.Firstly, the flow field of AC servo axial piston hydraulic motor pump is simulated with computational fluid dynamics (called CFD for short) simulation software, we can observe the flow distribution everywhere, especially, plunger chamber and the gap of stator and rotor, which can provide references for judging the rationality of the flow structure of motor pump and optimizing the structure. Secondly, obtain hydraulic motor pump's efficiency and load torque by using the method of theoretical analysis, analyze the main factors to impact on efficiency and load torque, importantly, the improved measures were advanced. Finally, based on the principle prototype of the hydraulic motor pump, build a test platform, account of the test principle of hydraulic motor pump prototype and test device, and measure flow, pressure, volumetric efficiency, output power and so on, and analyze them.
