Inner circular steel tube with outer angel steel plank reinforced concrete column is a new composite column form, it developed and evolved from the lattice type steel reinforced concrete column and the steel tube confined concrete column. Compared with the core circular steel tube reinforced concrete column, the outer steel frame and the core steel tube provide different level lateral restraints to the concrete, especially the location of the outer steel plank, which effectively improve the shearing, bending, torsion and bearing capacity of column components, improving the ductility and tenacity, make it have good mechanical performance.Reviewing plentiful of domestic and foreign researches on composite columns, such as those of steel tube-confined concrete, steel reinforced concrete, steel eccased concrete, and so on. A reasonable model is founded by using finite element software ANSYS, then chiefly analyzed the mechanical performance of the column under eccentricity compressive load.The main research contents of this thesis are as follows:Firstly, to analyze the circular steel tube reinforced concrete column, angel steel reinforced concrete column and inner circular steel tube with outer angel steel plank reinforced concrete column by ANSYS. Find a reasonable method of FEM, and indicate finite element analysis is effective.Secondly, discuss the influences of the concrete strength, encased effect coefficient of the steel tube and the angel steel, the location factor, the hoops spacing, the eccentricity, the outer encased forms, and so on, and then find out the regular influence patter of these parameters.Thirdly, bring up the basic ultimate bearing capacity assumption of the composite short column. Propose the calculation formulas under hoops and steel plank constraint of the composite short column. At last, propose the basic assumption of axial compression ratio, and bring up the calculation formulas of the composite short column.
