It is including the process of risk identification, risk analysis, risk prevention and, risk containment and risk monitor. This paper introduces the project risk management process of automotive rear axle drive module based on the analysis of several common used international standard processes of risk management and combining the characteristics of automotive industry. And then this paper tries to figure out a general risk management process for automotive rear axle drive module development.How to figure out the potential risk of the automotive rear axle drive module development is the most important item during project risk management. After analyzing the key characteristics of automotive rear axle drive module, the author chooses the Delphi method for the risk identification. Combined with four on-going projects of rear axle drive module with different customer background and different quality request, the author designs a program risk questionnaire sheet, using Delphi method to figure out 15 key potential risk items and their relative risk data.Risk evaluation is a very important part of project risk management. After studying some qualitative risk evaluation methods as well as quantitative risk analysis methods, the author chooses the qualitative risk evaluation method to analyze the risk. By using the FMEA method to calculate the probability and performance of risk element and then get the risk level of the key potential risk items, the author set up a fundamental element of the risk monitoring and controlling.
