The urban night landscaping and construction madeinroads into public concern.The urban night landscape, a comprehensive system includingmany natural and humanistic elements, is an important part ofthe urban landscape. To a certain extent, the shaping of the urbannight landscape is a great presentation of local cultural deposits.In addition, a good urban night landscape can boost investmentsand promote economic prosperity by influencing people’s nightlife.Owing to the climate characteristics, the night landscapeof the city in the north cold area is different from the landscapeof the city of warm climate in the south, and has its own regionalcharacteristics. So we should face up the cold climate of theobjective conditions and analysis its advantages and disadvantages. There are some effective ways, creating cityfeatures and enrich city images, to bring more regionalcharacteristics.This article took Changchun for an example to focus on theresearch of the design of the urban night landscape in the northcold area, analyzing Changchun’s urban origin, development andcurrent situation，and do a further in-depth studycombine withexample of Changchun then.
