The LED lighting is considered to be the next generation lighting, hasimportant practical value and broad market prospects in the driver circuit of researchand design, in this article based on the analysis and research about the basiccharacteristics and the related system modulation mode of LED inductive switchdriver circuit, apply the Buck structure for design principles and current modulatorfor the system feedback control to design a high-efficiency multi-purpose LED driverchip. The chip is mainly used in house lighting and LED spotlights and anther LEDlamps, the operating voltage range is6V40V and normal working temperature is-40o C to85o C and the efficiency up to98%, it is convenient application, the outputcurrent is accuracy, operation stable and safe and reliable.In the first, this paper outlines the development history about the mankind’slighting, and expounds the advantages and development status of LED lighting,according to LED basic physical characteristics proposes the driving circuit mode.Secondly, this paper expounds the basic circuit principle and characteristics of LEDinductive switch drive, and analyzes and compares the advantages and disadvantagesof the current and voltage modulation mode, determined the chip feedbackmodulation. Then, in accordance with the requirements of the chip applicationenvironment and function, gives the basic performance index and the wholestructure,focus on analysis and design of the chip module circuit, and uses the Hspicesoftware to verify the feasibility of the circuit.The chip design has used the top-down design patterns, to start the circuitbefore determining the basic structure of the system. Then, aiming at the risk and costof chip design, consider the market, profits and other factors, and decide to adoptCSMC5V40V0.25umBCDMOS for production in the Hua Hong Shang Huacompany, and layout the whole circuit of the chip in accordance with thetechnological standards.Finally, we do some test about the performance of the chip, and the test resultsshows the indicator meet the design target, and in the application circuit the output current is stable, safe and reliable.
