This paper attempts to analyze the origin of modern balcony retrospective,morphological considerations and social impact, to discuss the negative attitude of peoplein public life, and all the signs of private life as well as self-obsession(narcissism).Firstly,the paper summers up three modes of the balcony: high-Tower-floor model, Earthen-arena-theater mode, colonnaded garden-courtyard-Landscape mode through theresearch of origin, pattern and evolution of balcony.These three modes deeply affectedthe origin and appearing of the modern balcony, while in Sonnet’s opinion,the crisis inpublic life from19century caused by the so-called capitalism and liberalism, haveprofoundly shaped the modern balcony and human beings.Furthermore, the paper tracesthe modern-sided balcony to cue the expansion of public life and the restriction ofphysical body.Entire discourse implied three discusses clue-the city and the tower ofcontemporary everyday life; absolute spectator and actors who lost the skill of acting;inspiration for the modern balcony by garden and gardener.Through three levels ofdiscourse, demonstrates the impact of the people living by the modern balcony, as well asthe negative emotions by those who lose the passion of public life in contemporarysociety.Finally, the paper will summarize all the variety of complex situations in modernbalcony and people living there as "Mobius syndrome", this syndrome implies a negativeattitude in public life during the contemporary time.
