With the development of the Internet and information technology,the new economictendency which take the e-commerce as the main form are booming irreversibility.Under this new circumstances,Product design also faces new opportunities and challenges.Many e-commerce companies are not satisfied with packaging and OEM models after thecompletion of capital accumulation, they put forward new requirements on furtherenhancing the brand image of the corporate and the capabilities of product-developing.Product design is vital in this process. E-commerce enterprises are supposed to establishtheir product images and product lines according to the product design strategy which inline with its own development characteristics in response to the much cruellercompetitions in the future.This paper researches product images for e-commerce enterprises and the developingstrategy of product design from the perspective of e-commerce enterprises. It is dividedinto four parts: First of all, describing the research background and discussing theobjectivity, necessity and possibility of this issue. Secondly, summarising the differencesbetween the e-business and traditional business models; Third, finding the features ofe-commerce mode which have affected several aspects of product design, sorting outproduct design strategies which are suitable for e-commerce enterprises according to theseaspects based on the existing design theories and traditional product design anddevelopment processes. Finally, taking practical design project as an example,completing the design of a vacuum cleaner according to the summary of product designstrategies of e-commerce mode.
