With the development of economy and science and technology, modern manufacturing industry is facing a rapidly changing, upgrading of plant products as well as new product demand surge and other issues. In this context, to achieve a balance in the daily business operations of the assembly line in production system has gradually become the focus of the assembly in the field of research. Assembly line balancing in assembly line design and management is a very important issue, because the assembly line balance or not directly affect the productivity of complex product manufacturing systems, production cycles.In this paper, based on research status and research methods of analysis of complex product assembly line balancing and as engine assembly line for the application object, get the assembly line balancing algorithm by comparing the results of two studies calculation and simulation methods, the main assembly line balancing work is as follows:By improving the traditional genetic algorithm approach to conform to the characteristics of the assembly line manufacturing system, completed the genetic algorithm encoding, decoding and selection, crossover and mutation to improve and run the genetic algorithm in the software, get the engine assembly line balancing optimal solution.Through the production system simulation software Plant Simulation implements the engine assembly line of modeling and simulation, implementation the logic of assembly line running process through the embedded SimTalk programming language, using simulation software to obtain the optimal solution of assembly line balancing, making the assembly line to have a more intuitive understanding.By comparing the two methods of assembly line balancing analysis of the results and the ease of modeling and simulation, the simulation results of the production system is the development trend of enterprise software applications assembly line balancing studies. Enterprises can integrate between production systems and simulation software, and ultimately the number of workshops, enterprise digital.
