Recently Chinese automobile industry is developing very fast, however, the great demand of automobiles is more and more diverse. Although the environments and market are very suitable for the automobile's fast development, the needs for the quality and diversity of the products are strict enough. How to harmonize the cost and competitiveness is critical to the perspective movement, this would trace to the basic technology, machining and design, as well as the manufacture process management. While dealing with the latter, the assembly line balancing directly influences the company's competitiveness and tomorrow development. Thus, the balancing problem of the OTING and PALADIN SUV's assembly line would be discussed in this paper.Firstly, the source and meaning of this research were introduced, together with the current status. The research actuality of the assembly line was presented in chapter 2. In chapter 3, the foundation of the linear programming was firstly introduced, based on the mathematical models, the linear program model for the assembly line was presented. Afterwards, the corresponding data of the assembly line was listed, and the problem was transformed into a mix-assembly line problem. Hereafter, the particular solving process using Lingo of the mathematical models was presented with words description and pictures, the solution was given as the optimal stations number. Afterwards the inverted ration method and logical sequencing method were both applied and two production sequences were given. In chapter 4, Industrial Engineering lab's Witness was applied to optimize the production sequence and one optimal solution was given. In chapter 5, the research content of this paper was concluded, and the following research was forecasted. |
