| The solar simulator, also known as the " artificial sun", is a kind of test facilities which can offer the irradiation similar to the natural sunlight, and it can reappear some characteristics of the real sun, including the spectrum irradiation distributionã€the intensity〠the irradiation stability and uniformity of the sunlight under the laboratory conditions. With the development of science and technology, the solar simulator has been widely applied in many fields, such as remote sensing, space environment simulation and photovoltaic battery performance test and so on.This paper is about a solar simulator whose emergent light has a spot diameter of 400mm. And this solar simulator is one important component in the radiation detection of the full spectrum imaging spectrometer, and is composed by the optical system, mechanical system and the cooling system. In this paper, the design programs of the optical-mechanical system and the cooling system are detailed discussed. In order to meet the requirements of the collimation of the output light and the irradiation uniformity on the irradiated surface, the off-axis collimation system, whose collimation lens is an off-axis parabolic mirror, is applied as the optical system for this solar simulator. According to the technical indexes, a detailed design scheme of the optical system and the parameters of each optical element are given, and the simulation and analysis about the irradiation uniformity has been operated with the use of Lighttools. The result shows that the irradiation uniformity can meet the requirements. In order to reduce the temperature of the internal environment, a forced air-cooling system is applied in this solar simulator, and it is proved to operate well with ICEPAK. At last, all the technical indexes of this solar simulator are experimentally measured, and the number of the irradiation uniformity is ± 1.61% in the area with a diameter of 200mm and ±3.28% within the diameter of 400mm. |
