With the rapid development of automobile, people pay more and more attention to the problems of automobile energy consumption and emissions. How to reduce energy consumption and recycle energy is one of the topics that people focus on. Therefore, this paper studies a new recovery equipment of vibration energy. The method of combing theoretical design and test verification is used during the process of research. First, with the help of Matlab/Simulink, this paper conducts modeling simulation analysis on the simplified model of two degrees of freedom to obtain the vibration characteristics of vehicle suspension system on random road, laying foundation for the follow-up study.Next, according to the design requirements, a variety of design schemes is put forward. Through the contrast analysis, a new type of motor model is finally determined and that is cylinder permanent magnet linear generator of Halbach structure. This paper refers to the designing method of rotating electric motor in order to complete its theoretical design. On the basis of the above research, the idle load characteristics and load characteristics of the prototype machine are obtained by analyzing and calculating the motor’s electromagnetic field with the help of Ansoft Maxwell. Meanwhile, motor’s internal heat map is obtained through the thermal analysis of the motor with the help of Ansys. It verifies that motor can run normally under steady state without demagnetization because of too high temperature. Finally, its prototype machine is processed for verification through electromagnetic vibration generator system. No-load and load tests are conducted on the prototype machine and the test result is identical with the simulation result. The amplitude in higher frequency does not meet the design value, but the recovery rate can still meet 68.7%. The above testifies the viability of the recovery equipment of vibration energy.
