Electromagnetic environment does not have definite shape. The traditional way to simulate electromagnetic environment is simply based on 2d drawing. The electromagnetic wave propagation in space is under the influence of atmosphere, topography and other environmental factors. How to show the 3d situation of complex electromagnetic environment better to the command staff is the research focus and difficulty of this paper. Therefore, this paper carried out the following several aspects:1. The mathematical model of radar detection range is established by using radar equation and antenna pattern. And the shape of the radar detection range in 2d and 3d is calculated by using the model. The detection zone of netted radar is studied. One algorithm of calculating detection probability of netted radar is designed based on discretization of the probability calculation. The algorithm calculates the detection probability of netted radar in three-dimensional space. A three-dimensional drawing algorithm is designed. Using the algorithm completes drawing the radar detection range in 3d and gets fast experimental result.2. The design rule of military symbol is studied. The 3d military symbols which are suitable for complex electromagnetic environment are designed. The 3d military symbols are contributed to show the three-dimensional situation. An irregular military drawing algorithm is designed based on B-spline. It completes the drawing of the dovetail military symbol, positions military symbol and other irregular military symbols.The dynamic display algorithm for rule military symbols and irregular military symbols are respectively designed. The military symbols will change by the development of situation. So that, the military symbols can show the 3d situation better.3. A 3D situation visualization software of complex electromagnet environment is designed. The software builds an assessment of the situation based on dynamic Bayesian network model. It combined with the complex electromagnetic environment for effective evaluation of enemy ballistic missiles. Using the military symbols and netted radar visualization technology simulation the entire process of the situation and get the corresponding experimental results.
