| Air raid and air defense operation are primary modes of modern warfare, therefore to enhance the combat capacity of the antiaircraft forces and the air units presupposes the victory in future wars. In time of peace, the most effective way to enhance the combat capacity of the forces is to carry out true-to-life confronting maneuver. However, high randomicity and risk, which makes it difficult to maneuver in a way of real soldiers with loaded weapons, badly weaken the training effect. The present simulated training system is thus designed to simulate the confronting process of antiaircraft forces and the air units, to realize the interactive operation on military hardware, with an aim to verify the warfighting effectiveness of weapons and operational tactics.Three major functions are realized in the system. The first one is offering a distributed simulation platform. Distributed simulation, with HLA as its mature representative, is a technology that can merge simulation elements with varied functions in different geographical location into a bigger simulation system. The simulation system, based on HLA, constructs a distributed simulation software framework, which guarantees the synchronization of the whole system made up with two confrontation sides and the director group. The realization of simulated air-to-ground confrontation is the second function of the system. The key to realize this function is the virtualization of the weapons of two sides, since combats are carried out by manipulating weapons in each side. Main battle weapons like fighters and antiaircraft missiles are selected by the system, and these virtualized weapons are interactively operated to realize confrontation in the simulated battlefield connecting two sides via the HLA interfaces. The third one is the three-dimensional visualization of the simulated battlefield. The system adopts OSG and osgEarth to make the simulated weapons and battlefield visualized in three dimension, creating an interactive immersion operation interface. The system is a pioneering design that make the whole process of confrontation three-dimensional visualized and operationalized. The simulated weapons and battle field environment developed by the technology of three-dimension visual simulation make the battlefield more vivid, while interactively operational simulated weapons provide the two sides with the chance to participate in the whole confrontation, which could reproduce it more to the life.The present research designs a distributed simulation training system and provides the two sides of air-to-ground combat with a confrontation platform, having such merits as simple configuration and being repeatable, which avoids many problems in actual combat training, like the difficulty of coordination, risks of danger, and high material consumption. Air-to-ground combat training can be carried out on the platform to test their military tactics. |
