Our country is located in the ring between circum-Pacific seismic belt and Eurasian seismie zone, is one of the most serious earthquake disaster country. To ensure the safe use of architecture, we need to find a method which is reasonable and effective. Traditional anti-seismic method resists earthquake effect by enhancing their own seismic performance, such as strength, stiffness, ductility, etc. This method realizes the conversion and loss of seismic energy through structure’s own damage. This method is likely to produce immeasurable losses in the earthquake, so it already could not satisfy the requirement of safety performance. The energy dissipation and seismic responses reduction technology is a new seismic technology in the field of civil engineering, this technology absorb and dissipate the energy of earthquake by energy dissipation device, share the earthquake damage of the main building. Aiming at randomness of earthquake, energy dissipation device solves engineering problems by regulating and controlling itself. The energy dissipation and seismic responses reduction technology is one of the most important seismic technologies, which the fluid viscous damper belonged to. Fluid viscous damper can effectively reduce the dynamic response of structure under seismic action, its damping effect is remarkable and its principle clear. From engineering point of view, this paper studies damping effect of reinforced concrete frame-shear wall structure with fluid viscous damper. In this paper, the specific research work mainly includes the following aspects:(U This paper briefly introduces the seismic response calculation method of fluid viscous damper structure:time history analysis method. In order to reduce the earthquake effect, develop four different damper layout scheme.(2) This paper analysis and compares the seismic response of the original structure.and four different fluid viscous damper structure, using time history analysis method, with the help of ANSYS software. The seismic responses include the displacement, velocity, acceleration, layer displacement, inter-story displacement and inter-story displacement angle. Then evaluate the seismic performance of structures.(3) Through analysis and comparison, we can know that the damper layout scheme is different, then the damping effect of the structure is different. The research contents of this paper can provide the reference for the similar frame-shear wall structure on vibration reduction analysis, provide the reference for the structure beyond the limit of seismic fortification. It also have certain significance on improving the seismic performance frame-shear wall structure.
