With the rapid development of the city, urban traffic problems (traffic safety, traffic congestion, traffic environment pollution, etc.) is increasingly outstanding, investigate its reason is imbalance between traffic supply and demand.Traffic capacity is the urban traffic supply ability of macro reflected, is one of the standard metric road network supply ability. Traffic capacity of road network can provide decision-making basis for the establishment of regional transportation planning. Therefore, the title of this article is research on traffic capacity of Low-carbon transport demonstration area based on comprehensive traffic efficiency. From the perspective of people-centered study a variety of the coordinated development of road transportation network planning and traffic capacity of the road network.First of all, research on traffic efficiency and traffic capacity of the relevant basic theories in this paper. The meaning of the comprehensive traffic efficiency and traffic capacity are summarized, to analysis the influence factors of them on the basis of predecessors’ research summary. The main factors are urban road network planning, land use layout and traffic structure. Systematical analysis and summary of calculate the traffic capacity of the model, and they are respectively linear programming model, the cut set method, space-time consumption, supply analysis and narrow road network traffic capacity model.Secondly, research on traffic system planning and traffic capacity of demonstration area. In road network layout, it break traditional road hierarchy, to use the road traffic sex-life road network system, design more groups of one-way binary road, build strong public transport system and humanization of slow traffic system. At the same time, on the basis of the existing space-time consumption method, analysis of the traffic capacity model of motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles. Then analysis and correction of coefficient of the model and establish low carbon mode of the traffic capacity model.Finally, research on land use and traffic evaluation. Introduces the basic ideas, mixed land use, construction of TOD of demonstration area, and analysis the influence factors of traffic system and the structure of travel. Put forward the thought of trip generation forecasting, and establish the resident trip generation forecasting model based on land use. Combining with calculation method of traffic demand and supply and puts forward the traffic capacity assessment indicators and assessment method, used for evaluation of transportation capacity. According to the low carbon mode capacity model and resident trip generation forecasting model, calculation of each type of road capacity and the demand of different travel transportation, and complete the evaluation of transportation capacity. As can be seen from the proportion of supply and demand balance differential coefficient, road network traffic capacity can not only meet the demand of area residents travel, road more reasonable and effective use of resources at the same time, to achieve the goal of low carbon and high efficiency.
