Axial piston pump is one of the most widely used components in the hydraulic system. One important development direction of the axial piston pump is information technology and intelligent control. Digitally controlled variable pump is one of the products which combine automatic control technology, hydraulic technology and electronic technology. The market has been occupied by some well-known hydraulic foreign manufacturers. Digitally controlled variable pump can adapt various control requirements such as proportional pressure control, load sensing control and constant power control. Digitally controlled variable pump is precise and flexible; it can be used as a platform for further development on the basis of more advanced control mode, for example, the intelligent control, which combines with precision, stability and energy efficiency.At present, the domestic research on electronic control of variable pump is still in its primary stage, the key technology of digital control variable displacement pump is still in the hands of large companies abroad. To break the blockade of foreign technology, research on key techniques of digital control variable displacement pump, is of great significance and practical value in engineering.Based on principle of digital control variable displacement pump variable, modeling, simulation analysis, debugging and prototype test, the following work has been done:Firstly, history of the axial piston pump development and research status at home and abroad is illustrated. The energy conservation and control precision and automation level are regarded as research background of digital control variable displacement pump, this paper also expounds the research purpose and meaning.Secondly the structure scheme of programmable digital control variable displacement pump is presented. The working principles of various kinds of control mode and control process are described in detail. This chapter also selects components of the prototype.Then, servo system of digital control pump is considered as the model of a three-way valve controlling the hydraulic cylinder. Firstly each elements composed of digital control variable displacement pump are modelled mathematically. Secondly the displacement control mode and the pressure control mode of variable pump are list. Thirdly the model are simulated and analysis in the Matlab/Simulink environment. And the meaning of the variable pump programmable function and principle and realization method in detail.Finally the performance of prototype pump is tested on pump test bed. In this part, the PID parameter adjustment method is introduced firstly, and then the web based test bed for prototype pump is introduced. Finally data are obtained during the test, all the basic functions and dynamic performance of the programable digital control variable displacement pump is confirmed.
