The axial piston pump has the advantages of easy-control operating variables and being able to adapt to the working environment of high-pressure and high-speed. Therefore it has been widely used in engineering machinery,hydraulic machines and ships, has become one of the most widely used hydraulic pumps. Current research is focused on designing and manufacturing fine, functional integration, high reliability, high efficiency, and being able to meet higher work requirements and complex working conditions. For hydraulic control system, the emergence of various hydraulic valves have accelerated the development of the valve-control technology and it has became the main application of hydraulic control system. Due to the structural constraints, valve controlled hydraulic system has the disadvantages of throttling loss, and low energy utilization rate. Because of high-precision control and high energy efficiency pump control system has become the research hotspot and the future development trend. Pump-controlled symmetrical cylinder technology has been widely applied. For differential cylinder, the two chambers work flow are differfent, therefore there are still many problems need to be solved in the direct pump-control technology.In this paper, as the key power element of the hydraulic system, axial piston pump with four distribition windows was researched. SimulationX software was applied in the modeling of pump. Based on theoretical calculation and simulation analysis of the pump, from the perspective of working performance and the stability, the structure optimization of axial piston pump model was completed, and the key assignment parameters were obtained. For the details, the influence of triangle groove dimension and plunger number parity on axial piston pump were researched. Axial piston pump of different parameters simulation were compared to obtain suitable depth and width of the triangle groove. Under the same pump output conditions, the effect of singular and even numbers plungers on pump output were compared. The results showedthat the flow pulsation of plunger piston with singular number is smaller. After completing simulation model of axial piston pumps with four distribition windows, different types of loading characteristics were analyzed:(1) Single and two symmetrical hydraulic actuators were loaded, the pressure in the plunger cavity and output characteristics of the piston pump were analyzed;(2)Single-rod cylinder was loaded, simulation results showed that axial piston pump with four distribition windows could match the working capacity of the existing piston pump;(3) For the performance test of the axial piston pump with four distribition windows, the component selection of the pump control differential cylinder station were completed and the station was established. All these laid the foundation for the axial piston pump prototype test.
