Study On The Impact Response Of Ore Drop To Dump Truck Rack

Dump truck is special purpose vehicle which consists of subframe mounted on second-class chassis, lifting mechanism, truck body, accessory and so on. With the development of transporting construction waste and mining raw materials, dump truck has been widely used as the important transport tools. In the process of loading ore into dump truck body with loader, sometimes ore falls from high altitude because of inappropriate operating, sometimes the mass and volume of loading ore is too big. These situations may be lead to dump truck body floor being heavily impacted by falling ore and produce large deformation. At last lead to the vertical and horizontal beams cracking and fracture. These dangerous factors may deteriorate the safety and useful life of dump truck.In this article, we design the model of dump truck body floor and substitute ore with steel materials hammerhead. With the test of steel materials hammerhead impacting truck body, we can study the vibration acceleration and stress response of truck body. On this basis, we establish the finite element of truck body and steel impacting hammerhead. Then simulating the stress response of truck body floor being impacted by hammerhead. Contrast with the similar results of FEM and test, we can find the consistency of simulating the body floor with FEM. At the same time, we can also find that the way of finite element is feasible. On this basis, the finite element analysis model of cargo body under ore impact was established. Then we can calculate the stress response of body floor and analysis the distributing of stress under ore impact. At last, we study the impact resistance of truck body at different location with different mass, different falling height and different contact types.The result of this article can laid foundation for the design of dump truck body and reduce the damage of it, also can prolong the life of dump truck body. This result can make company get economy and society interests.
