DM154X cycloid gear pump, one of the most important parts of the hydrodynamic transmission, provides power and lubrication function for the whole system, and plays a vital role in the performances of function and stability of the system. In order to improve the efficiency and maximize the life-span of DM154 X cycloid gear pump, the method combining experiments with finite element simulation is applied to find out the core reasons that may cause wear problem, hence, having several situations that can make a decrease in the efficiency of the DM154 X cycloid gear pump. Based on ANSYS, the truth is found that the stress concentration generated during the meshing process leads to the wear problem of DM154 X cycloid pump. A solution scheme modifying the tooth profile of DM154 X cycloid gear pump has been proposed, the correlation between the amount of stress and tooth profile modification on rotor tooth has been found, which will provide a series of theoretical guidance on the abrasion of cycloid rotor pump research.To some extent, modifying the tooth profile may change the meshing relationship of cycloid gear pump. Thus it is true that adopting the method may exert an influence on the volumetric efficiency and working stability of DM154 X cycloid gear pump. Therefore it’s necessary with the assistance of CFX to observe the correlation of the amount of tooth profile modification with volumetric efficiency and working stability of modified cycloid gear pump. Based on the finite element software CFX, the fluid analysis model of modified cycloid gear pump is established. Using computational fluid dynamics simulation analysis means, accordingly engineering practical test prototype can be replaced by this low-cost method, the correlation among the amount of tooth profile modification, volumetric efficiency and flow pulsation of modified cycloid gear pump has been found. And there are a series of great engineering practical value in the volumetric efficiency improvement and theoretical guidance on the enrichment of tooth profile design of DM154 X cycloid gear pump.
