The work environment of the hydraulic excavator is bad and the variables affecting the power match between the engine and the pump are complex. Fuzzy control is suited for the object with difficult modeling and the expert knowledge and experiences can be used as fuzzy control rules. It can get better control effect, to further improve the level of the automation and intelligence of the hydraulic excavator.The content of the thesis are as follows:1 The paper analyses the approaches of the energy loss of the hydraulic excavator and the existing engine-pump related matching control technologies are described. At the same time the engine characteristics and variable pump characteristics are introduced and analyzed.2 The principle is expounded of the key components of the engine speed control--engine governor. The static and dynamic mathematical models are established of the engine speed control system of sCummin.3 The principle of K3 V series electric-control variable pump is analysed.The movement process of the pump displacement adjusting mechanism is introduced in the paper and the static and dynamic models of variable displacement pump are established.4 Combined with simulation models of engine and hydraulic pump, fuzzy control is used in the platform for simulation analysis in SimulinkMatlab / and related test bench. The results of the test show that using fuzzy control can reduce the speed jitter of the engine and improve the effect of the matching between engine and variable pump and reduce fuel consumption.
