With the gradual development of people’s living standards, the rapid development of the national economy, rail transport pressure increases, the requirement of the EMU performance and process has also gradually improved. Bogie is an important part of the emu, responsible for supporting body and carrying the weight. The bogie, as one of the important parts of the train, concerns directly about the security, stability of emu, so the requirement of the bogie assembly line’s controllability and security is higher and higher.The line is responsible for the assembly of bogie’s every parts(piping, torsion bar, brake clamps, motor). The central control management system is responsible for the assembly line, and makes the line run safely and effectively.First of all, the whole assembly line central control system design is described in detail. This system adopts the Siemens S7-300 PLC as the core controller, and adopts WinCC configuration software for the design of the monitor screen. Each lower machine system has the PLC which collects field signals. Through the Ethernet, each lower machine system communicates with the central management system, to ensure the central control system for monitoring the whole assembly line. Second, the formation and program design of each lower machine system of the bogie assembly line are described.The lower machine systems include air vehicles, material storage and AGV transportation system, assembling location, measurement framework and round on the conveying system. WinCC monitoring software is adopted to realize the formation of monitoring picture, parameter setting and data management, etc. What we do is work system configuration and the design of the monitor screen. Finally, through laboratory test and the emu bogie assembly workshop of field test, we completed the validation of central control management system.Test results show that the truck assembly line central control management system can effectively monitor the whole assembly line. The central control management system can effectively solve the problem of steering rack assembly line monitoring is not timely,poor reliability. It is also closely combined with assembly line process, in the process of production to achieve the automatic control and alarm, automatic protection, automatic regulating, not only improve the operation efficiency, reduce the labor intensity, and reduce the operation cost.
