As an important place of information storage, exchange and transmission in modern society, date center is very important. Once the date center fires, not only will cause the loss of personnel and property, but also more serious is the loss of the loss of information data for some enterprises and units may be fatal. The date center fire system is a comprehensive system of early warning, fire prevention and fire extinguishing function, which is the key part of the safety operation of the computer room equipment, and its reliability directly affects the risk level of the equipment. Therefore, it is very important to study the reliability of the engine room fire control system.This paper first introduces the reliability of the domestic and foreign research progress, focusing on the current two kinds of important reliability theory, namely, the traditional reliability theory and the reliability of the system. At the same time, the research progress and present status of reliability in fire protection system are briefly summarized. The existing problems in the research of fire system reliability are put forward. So the research object of this paper is the reliability of the engine room fire system.Next to the engine room fire characteristic and the fire control system’s choice principle to carry on the discussion. Firstly, from the perspective of the definition of traditional reliability, combining with the characteristics of engine room fire control system, the paper makes a classification and definition of the reliability of the engine room fire system. Secondly, the paper analyzes the characteristics of the engine room, and summarizes the fire hazard and fire characteristics. At last, based on the above analysis, it puts forward that the computer room is different from other places in the fire alarm system and fire fighting system.Through the analysis of the fire protection system of the engine room, the reliability of the fire protection system is divided into two parts:the reliability assessment of fire automatic alarm system and the reliability assessment of the system. Because the fire alarm system has the characteristics of dual type detector cooperative detection, this paper chooses the voting system in the reliability model, and uses the reliability assessment model of the engine room fire alarm system. The reliability evaluation model of the engine room fire alarm system is built. The new GO model is constructed by using the traditional GO method.Two kinds of reliability assessment models are applied to a data storage center in Tianjin. The reliability of the fire protection system in the computer room is evaluated by the system. And from the engine room internal physical environment, fire product quality, fire engineering construction, fire maintenance and maintenance of the angle to ensure and improve the reliability of engine room fire system.
