With the advent of the era of automation and information technology, sensor monitoring, intelligent management and other automation technology has been more and more widely used in the field of ship. Most of the marine generators used the diesel engines, and the diesel generators will inevitably splash oil, which brings great hidden trouble of safety unit. Now existing generator splash detection devices, which are not incorporated into the main monitoring system of the diesel generator, can neither realize remote monitoring, nor meet the interlocking protection of the whole host system. Based on the original diesel generator control system, this paper proposes a method that use the industrial OPC, database and MODBUS TCP/IP protocol based on OPC communication technology to develop a set of multi controller, multi client network monitoring system.In order to solve the problem that the splash signal can not be detected in time and the whole platform is not implemented, this paper analyzes and designs a network monitoring system based on the design requirement, hardware structure and software functional requirements. In this system, both the independent network architecture and technologies of OPC, database, TCP/IP MODBUS protocol are used. It breaks through the limitation of the existing software and hardware design, and the alarm information is integrated into the host protection system, which improves the existing monitoring mode of the ship main engine operation. In the process of design and implementation, this paper uses the idea of modular structure and distributed network building method to analysis and implement the needs of the system needs, so that the system has good scalability. In this paper, we design and implement a network system based on the monitoring of the splash of marine power station. The implementation scheme is reliable and can meet the requirements of the ship’s main engine.In this paper, the hardware and software of the system are built, and the monitoring of the ship’s splashing signal is carried out, which make the remote monitoring timely, effective and reliable. At the end of this paper, the design idea and implementation scheme are tested and the function is verified. The advantages and disadvantages of the design scheme are analyzed. The results of this paper are of reference significance to the protection of the safety of the ship, and provide a feasible plan for improving the safety and reliability of the operation of the ship.
