The diesel engine has a series of performance,such as the good economy fuel,the reliable work,the good durability,the wide power scope,the slightly exhaust pollutes.it is widely used in many types of watercraft. Our unit need watercraft to carry out tasks like supply,escort and alert frequently.We equipped many types of watercraft.Those watercraft need more diesel engines,particularly The zhenchai2330.Because the tasks are dense,use of watercraft in high frequency,this lead to the diesel engine failure rate also rises immediately. So, we need diesel engine fault diagnosis of pre judgment and Diagnosis treatment more and more accurately. Because of the need to maintain good long-term ship combat readiness,we can not Dismantling the craft’s diesel engine frequently to check out.This paper studies the fault diagnosis system based on virtual instrument. In order to improve the visual and practical diesel engine fault diagnosis.This paper takes the zhenchai2330 diesel engine as research object, which has a high equipment rate in our watercraft, take this type diesel common failure as a basic type, we use the virtual instrument technology for signal acquisition,time-frequency domain analysis, wavelet analysis and database management in the diesel engine fault diagnosis system,and using fuzzy clustering expand the application of fault identification.The main research work are as follows:1) Analysis of the mechanism and characteristics of the diesel engine failure;2) Make an overall designation of fault diagnosis system;Using wavelet analysis technique to analyze failure mechanism and characteristics of the diesel engine, further the overall design for diesel engine fault diagnosis system hardware and software part, following simple, practical, accurate and efficient principles.3) Detail design and analysis for diesel engine integrated performance monitoring system. Mainly content a comprehensive monitoring system establishment is:Detail design and analysis for diesel engine power performance monitoring system, liner - piston wear fault diagnosis system, misfire fault diagnosis system and fuel injection fault diagnosis system.4) Diesel engine fault diagnosis method and application based on fuzzy clustering analysis.Considering the working condition of the fault type of diesel engine is often difficulty to grasp accurately, so it’s appropriate to use the fuzzy clustering method. This article mainly uses the fuzzy clustering algorithm to diagnose the diesel engine fault. Combined with 13 points information of the diesel engine working conditions, we can study the fuzzy clustering method and diagnose the fault type and reason.4) Finally, aiming at the common faults of town wood 2330, this article propose the method of fault diagnosis to analysis, which can diagnose the fault type clearly. The experiment shows that this system has certain diagnostic effect and application value.
