Power system stabilizer (PSS) has become a modern one of the standard configuration of excitation system, PSS can effectively improve the low-frequency oscillation of the generator operation characteristics, improve the stability of the system. Based on PSS and excitation voltage regulator AVR as the main research object, under the generalized Hamiltonian theory, study the AVR with PSS Hamiltonian model and its parameters on the influence of low frequency oscillation. Voltage regulator and PSS excitation system established by the Hamiltonian model, to combine the two to the Hamiltonian model of the generator, constitutes the AVR and PSS generator generalized Hamiltonian model. Among them, the typical PSS and the transfer function of voltage regulator AVR link with equivalent circuit to simulate, the link of the transfer function was established based on equivalent circuit of the energy function, the Hamiltonian of the whole generator system were obtained through the energy connection energy function, through the energy function, including PSS is derived and the AVR generator generalized Hamiltonian model, based on the established model, the damping matrix element analysis of generator power Angle, active power oscillation and the relevance of PSS parameters. On the MATLAB platform by using distributed programming simulation method to analyze the low frequency oscillation motor system oscillation characteristics and influencing factors of change. Calculation shows that the established the generalized Hamiltonian system can be more direct information system structure, damping factors, the results of simulation is consistent with the calculation results with the theoretical analysis. The results of this paper is to include multiple components of the dynamic system of Hamiltonian modeling method provides a new train of thought.
