Research On Rural Tourism Landscape Planning Based On Earth Art

With the extreme development of modern cities, people’s awareness of countryside and nature promotes rural tourism’s development into full swing. Many villages become prosperous because of it and even become the bucket of creation. However, in the landscape design, there are still some unreasonable projects and following phenomenon which concern about the form instead of the spirit, including experiences in empty talk without the feeling and edification of thoughts and emotions. Land Art, an artistic genre from the western society with extrusive eco-contradiction, was an artistic action with ecology and humanism at the beginning. Now, in various aesthetic activities, it becomes a common design idea and method in the landscape design. Land Art provides people with many kinds of ways to get along well with nature, beatifying nature by artistic forms. The idea and methods that Land Art influences people’s thoughts and emotions and awakes their home awareness are valuable for the tourist area to explore and use them for references in the landscape design.Dongchuan Laterite Fairyland is a typical laterite plateau which lies in Yunnan-Guizhou plateau area; it is one of the most distinguished features of Dongchuan, the combination of the spectacular view of the laterite and colorful crops is so perfect that it is praised as the ”palette that left by God on earth ” As a famous photography paradise, Dongchuan laterite scenic area is now developing rural tourism. However, the existing circumstances urge us to find out solutions for limited idea of development, thematic landscape construction shortage, insignificant economic and ecological benefit, increasingly serious clash between human and land, and low-speed growing tourism.This thesis is well-arranged and well-analyzed about the origin, development, methods of land art theory and classical works in all directions. It draws lessons from the successful cases of the usages of land art at home and abroad. As the support of economics of ideas, landscape ecology, landscape design, tourism aesthetics and other related theories, the meeting point of land art in rural tourism landscape is discussed to be applied in empirical research of the red scenic spot in Dongchuan, Yunnan. It makes plans for tourist landscape construction in the red scenic spot, and explores how rural tourism under the assists of art and technology can build creative thinking about strong local exclusive marks.
