The problem of interference detection in 3D packing is widely existed in manufacturing and needs to be solved. In the packing of devices in Excitation System, the device抯 structure is a very complex problem. We need think over not only the part抯 entity dimension, but also its insulation dimension, containment shell the operational space etc. To make the parts of the internal structure do not interfere each other, it also need the above requirement. On view of the problem of 3D interference detection in packing of Excitation System, the writer researched and designed an Intelligent Engineering Based 3D-Interference Detection System.So far, there are a lot of business-used drawing software such as AutoCAD and Electric board, etc. This software can provide powerful drawing function, but never involve the packing algorithm that is very adaptable. The latest version of AutoCAD can detect the interference of steady objects. However, it still can not dynamically interference detect objects. The thesis sums up and analysea the existing interference detection methods of 3D packing. Then the writer makes clear the direction to solve problem of 3Dinterference detection, and points out that the theory of Intelligence Engineering should be a direct theory. Based on those, the writer studies the basic knowledge o packing .In view of the octree, the basic packing data structure, the writer designs an intelligent engineering based interference detection system. By collecting the information of the entity and transforming it into octree-structure date. Then, using the octree method of describing 3D shape, it 3D-interference detects geometry shape in the packing program. The system both steadily and dynamically interference detect the packing entity in any shape that was ~nerated with AutoCAD. The system feeds the interference distance (the value of interference) in the interference Table back to the consumer. Language C++ is used in the system to achieve the functions such as interference detecting and entity information collected. The writer uses the system in Excitation System structire design to detect the structure packing. The application tests and verifies the efficiency and rapidness of the system and proved that the system can solve the problem of interference detection in 3D packing of the Excitation device.In the end, the writer summarizes the whole work of researching and designing, and forecasts the direction of further research.
