In modern industry, packaging machines are widely used in food, medicine, chemical and other professional fields. As one kind of packaging machine, packing machine can transport products with small packaging or without packaging into package automatically or semi-automatically. Automatic packing machine plays a critical role in the whole packing process, which can greatly improve the packing efficiency. But because of its costly use and maintenance, the cost of production is high, which is negative to improving economic benefit and production enthusiasm for many small and medium enterprises.This study is about a semi-automatic packing machine that combines automation and manual work, which applies to pouch packaging goods. By referring to many existing packing machines, this study builds a model of the simple semi-automatic packing machine, and it elaborates the packaging production line and its work principle, then it completes the production line planning and calculation of technical parameters. Furthermore, this research focuses on the pendulous device, then describes its composition and the function of important parts.After comparing the characteristics of many driving means such as machinery, fluid and electricity, this study selects the servo motor to drive the movement of the pendulous device. Then effective movement component is extracted in it, and the size selection and calculation of the driving system is completed. Next stage is kinematics analysis and optimization of the pendulous device. Firstly the law of motion of the pendulous device is compared respectively in gas-driven model and servo motor-driven model, then this study selects the latter one and solves the motion analysis. Secondly after founding a more reasonable law of motion, this research optimizes the kinematic model, and finally gets some more reasonable parameters such as angular velocity and angular acceleration.With SolidWorks Simulation, strength of the key movement components of the pendulous device can be analyzed. After building mathematical model and finite element model for the supporting spindle, then with some means such as the finite element analysis and calculation of force and pressure, some parameters of the supporting spindle with force and constraint are obtained such as stress, displacement and strain. Meanwhile this verifies the stability of the design and assembly. Finally, the control system design of the simple semi-automatic packing machine is completed. The control system takes programmable controller as the core, and realizes the movement control of the pendulous device. At the same time, I acquire the driving control principle of controlling servo driver for servo motor, and ultimately it achieves controlling the servo motor by the PC.
