The UPFC united transient mathematics model was formed allowing for the switch function in this paper. Then the corresponding act sequence and time of switch was derived using the method of voltage vector. Furthermore, referring to the basic idea of the method of Frequency scanning ?complex torque coefficient, the expression about the electric complex torque coefficient and mechanical one was derived, also the control strategy to damp the subsynchronous resonance was proposed as well as P1 controller in the UPFC was designed. On the base of the mathematics model about UPFC and generator shafting and network, the corresponding S1MULINK simulation modules were built. The simulation results showed the validity of the control strategy. In addition, the UPFC dynamic model was derived applied to the control of power system load flow. Then, an interface algorithm between the UPFC and the network was proposed. Furthermore, the P1 controller in the UPFC was designed. The simulation results showed that both the interface algorithm and the control system worked well.
