This paper analyses a new point dispersal method that applies directly interpolation function among dispersed points to solve boundary value problem of electromagnetic field. And in this paper, calculating software is programmed for solving leakage magnetic and reactance of power transformer. The direct-interpolation function method belongs to meshless numerical method. Compared with FEM, it has simple pre-processing. Compared with other point dispersal method, it deals better with the interface or boundary points in solved domain. This paper discusses mainly its application in 2D-boundary value problem. According to mathematical model of transformer leakage magnetic field, electromagnetic field software based on Windows is programmed by direct interpolation function method. In the program, that applying bi-directional chain data structure for dispersed points and non-zero element compressed storing technology for coefficient matrix decreases the volume of memory and computation. That nodal centering control and refining dispersed points increase the accuracy of solver. This program applies multi-threaded technology to time-consuming date, thus program can response user~s command even in the process of computation. The whole software is programed by Visual C++ language. It has friendly user interface and convenience operation. So it is good electromagnetic calculating software. Finally, this paper proposes a calculation of leakage magnetic field and leakage reactance for SFPT 240000/220 transformer and maps the dispersed points and distribution of magnetic field. The calculating value agrees with the measuring value. Therefore, the direct interpolation function is effect to solve boundary value problem of electromagnetic field.
