Power transformer is widely used in the generation, transmission, supply and distribution systems. High fire rating is required in the fields using the power transformer. Currently, power transformers mainly include oil-immersed transformer and dry-type transform. The oil-immersed transformers are explosive and flammable. It also easily brings environment pollution. So its application in these fields is restricted. Dry-type transformers possess strong impact resistance, anti-circuit ablity, moisture-proof ablity and other advantages. It can meet the demands of fire rating more than oil-immersed transformers. Moreover, with the increasing capacity, dry-type transfomers is more and more widely applied. The output, market share and purchase volume of it are increasing year by year. So it is taking replace of oil-immersed transformers. Based on these, the distribution of leakage magnetic field and temperature field are studied in this paper.In this paper, the leakage resistance, the distributions of leakage field and temperature field of 1000 KVA dry-type transform are calculated in ANSYS environment. And the analysis software of leakage magnetic field and temperature field of dry-type transformer is developed. First, the 2D axial symmetrical model of dry-type transformer is established to calculate the leakage field and leakage resistance .The error of the calculated value and measured value is less than 5%.Secondly, the temperature field of dry-type transformer was simulated .The error between calculated value and design value is less than 7% which can largely meet the engineering requirement. To some extent, the simulating results can guide the production and design.Finally, VB calculation software of leakage magnetic field and temperature field of dry-type transform were developed. The software provides a convenient man-machine conversation function. The users only need to input structural parameters and material properties, then can achieve parameterized modeling, loading and solving.
