Research on Flood Risk Analysis and the Method of Flood Submerging Range Simulation based on GIS for the CityFlood Risk Analysis covers a wide content, mainly including: the computation of flood process (the computation of river flood progress, dike burst and flood submerging range simulation etc.), the evaluation of the loss of disaster and flood refuge etc. These three courses are dissertated systematically, and each course is discussed respectively, and the computation of dike burst and the flood submerging range simulation is emphasized.The fundamental work in the Flood Risk Analysis is to simulate the flood submerging range, which belongs to the computation of flood process. The essential of the flood submerging simulation is to simulate the flood spreading course on the geographic space, the flood submerging range, submerging depth and the extent of disaster, which is caused by?the flood, under various designed levels.As the emphasis in this thesis, Volume method is put forward to simulate the flood submerging range, which is based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The essential of the Volume method is that according to gravity characteristics that flood flows from high position to low and terrain rise and fall conditions, the principal is used to simulate the flood submerging range, which is the equation of the flood volume bursting from the river and the flood volume in the submerging range. Firstly, this thesis puts forward the theoretical formula of the Volume method to compute the flood submerging range; secondly, the discrete method is used to solve the numerical solution of this fonnula; finally, the model based on Volume method is achieved. And this thesis developed the computer programs to achieve the whole computing processes.Data needed for Volume method are: (1) the flood volume bursting from river; (2) discrete elevation data in the submerging range. During the computation of dike burst, this thesis used the formula of the broad-crested weir without bank to fulfil] it. And the whole course is realized through the computer programs. In addition, this thesis uses the grid format of GIS to establish the discrete elevation data of the flood submerging range.Finally, this thesis exploringly uses the volume method on the Mudanjiang urban flood submerging simulation analysis and presents the flood submerging simulation under the condition of the dam burst caused by one percent frequency flood.Postgraduate:Bai WeiMajor:Water and Soil of Agricultural Engineering Supervisor: Ma Shuzhu...
