In this paper the author analyses the deference about the method of thermal power computation among Soviet Thermal Power Computation Standard (1957), Soviet Thermal Power Computation Standard(1973) and American CE Boiler Performance Design Standard in detail. According to these standards, the author designs and writes three programs and computes three boilers using these programs. These boilers are HG-410/100-9, HG-670/l 40-9, DG- 1025/177-2. Then the author draws a primary conclusion about the application range of these standards by contrasting the results of computation. Furthermore, the author studies the performance of the boiler DG-1025/177-2 under the varied conditions, including the temperature of feed water, the temperature of cold air, the excessive air coefficient, etc. The performance curves are made out. These data and curves will help the boiler engineers on choosing the thermal power computation standard, reconstructing boilers and making boilers working properly under varied conditions.
