This paper is based on the Reliability-Centered Maintenance theory, kinds of failure rate is introduced in detail, together with the reliability model, models of life distribution, maintenance ways and the method to determine the period of preventive maintenance. It studies the failure rate of single component on condition that the life distribution of component has been known and sampled by Monte Carlo method directly. Simulates the failure rate of typical systems use KLMC method and the reliability logic relation of components, Concludes the law of failure rate of after-repaired system: the failure rate of system抯 is close to the constant梤eciprocal of mean time between failure, validate the accuracy of Drenick抯 law. This method overcome the disadvantage of Markov process, which fussy in calculation and difficult to program in computer. A new method to determine the period of preventive system is derived by Monte Carlo method, the relation of mean cost-period is concluded by programming, the curve of their relation is achieved, and the best period is determined, which afford a new way to study the preventive systems. The next part of this paper is Visual C++ program, which is carried out in windows environment. As a whole, it includes two parts: one is calculation of system models, that is, create the random, sample and statistics, calculation the failure rate, the other part is simple interface, which includes edits the dialog, inputs and output the data, draw the curve of failure rate.
