Energy crisis becomes an urgent problem for every country all over the world and energy saving request is getting more and more attention of every government. The air-conditioner with inverter control meets the demands of people in terms of living in a comfortable space, and it also has great advantage of energy saving and lower electricity consumption. During the development of new type air-conditioners, the matching for the components and all parameters of the air-conditioner with inverter control is paid attention by the scholars and air-conditioner manufacturers. In this paper, a study of the matching for the refrigeration system about a 5Hp air-conditioner with inverter control has been carried out with mathematics simulation and experiments.hi this paper, a common air conditioner simulation program which has been verified by experiments results before has been improved. Comparing the calculation and the experiment results at the same state indicates the accuracy and reliability of the improved mathematics model. Based on the simulation program, the refrigeration system performance of the 5HP air-conditioner with inverter control has been calculated at a certain working condition. An analysis about how the frequency affects refrigeration system performance has been discussed particularly. In the end, the effect of refrigerant charge and capillary tube length on refrigeration system performance is discussed systematically when the frequency is varied. By making use of the simulation results, a principle about how to confirm the refrigeration charge and capillary tube length for the 5HP inverter controlled air-conditioner has been put forward. The results are of direct interests to reduce time-period of product developments.
