Fiduciary level, a safety index, has the features of security, feasibility and reliability. This it is widely used in large and medium engineering such as bridges, dams and so on. However, the condition of hydraulic structure and structural complexity gives difficulties to the reliability analysis. So the reliability make less, especially in pump station and water gate.In this essay, a general computational method to pump station and water gate was put forward according to the reliability theory and the station and dynamic operating node of hydraulic structure .The two typical pump station were dozed .the one is midget pump station and the other is medium one. Satisfactory result was attained through checking and verifying the two pump stations reliability strictly.The earthquake force was ignored during designing midget pump station, while the pseudo-static method just gave approximate calculation to the large and medium pump station ever.In this essay, the answer to natural frequency of vibration and periodic time will given in the response spectrum method. Then the precise earthquake force can be gained under the earthquake intensity accordingly .The reliability will be more reasonable and persuasive. When the earthquake force entered the reliability index. It puts forward a different method to reliability theory in reliability analysis of pump station.
