This dissertation systemly studies mechanics behavior, load-bearing capacity, test and reliability on concrete masonry and reinforced masonry shearwall.Firstly, the feature of reinforced masonry wall is introduced, the current situation of reinforced wall's design theory and its calculation method is analyzed, their characteristics , sameness and the existing problems are pointed out. And then the necessity and feasibility of testifying and perfecting design formula in existence applied to reinforced wall especially high-reinforced wall construction is presented.Secondly, with a great deal of experimental data, a detailed statistics and theory analysis on the substantial mechanism of small-sized concrete hollow block and the capacity of shear of reinforced wall. On the basis of the fact mentioned above, a new design formula has been deduced and presented. Through test and verification, with other data and the adjusting of the reliability, it is found that: using the design formula, the calculated carrying capacity of shear shows good agreement with the measured from the tests. In general condition, the reliability is good. The method and the corresponding test technique adopted by this experimental investigation is introduced briefly, and all the experimental investigation results of the wall-segments are summarized.Lastly, the discussion on the application of the reinforced masonry wall, including the structural detail, the methods of construction, the comparative analysis of technical economy and the example of design is probed into.
