Capacitors dispatch of distribution system is an efficient method to network loss reduction and voltage improvement in the distribution system operation. It is an importantcomponent of Distribution Automation System (DAS). The thesis mainly discusses reactive optimal control of distribution system.Reactive optimal control of distribution system is based on power flow calculation. Alternate iterating algorithm is proposed in this paper according to characters of reactive optimal control .The algorithm has advantages of fast computation speed,a few iterating times,high accuracy convergence and easy programming. It is an effect method applied to reactive optimal control.The model of the capacitors optimal control to distribution network is set forth in this thesis. Its object function is made to reducing network loss of distribution system. The binding conditions mainly emphasize on automation operating numbers of capacitors in reason of characters of capacitors itself.The fuzzy dynamic programming approach is proposed to find a proper dispatching schedule for shunt capacitors in the distribution system. From the simulation example,the principal characteristics of the proposed method result in method credibility,rapid calculating speed and fine astringency. It is more effective than the dynamic programming approach to achieve an optimal dispatching schedule for shunt capacitors of distribution system.
