With the developments in the field of solar cell material and photovoltaic control technology,Photovoltaic Water Pumping System,which has great social profit and economic profit,has widely been used in recent years. This paper proposes and optimum designs a high performance inverter specially used for Photovoltaic Water Pumping System. The main design objective of the inverter is to improve the efficiency of the whole system as high as possible. The IC modulation circuits and microprocessor are used in the control unit .On the side of input of inverter,the maximum power point tracking of solar module is well realized by using a kind of thought of self-optimizing control;on the side of output of the inverter,a kind of approximate optimum v/f control strategy is used in order to optimize the match between the output of the inverter and load of motor-pump. The experimental result has proved that the performance of the inverter is much better than that of the product before. This system is quiet suitable for further developing.
