Vibration is a special type of movement. That is a very commonly phenomenon. In fact,all kinds of systems have the ability of vibration and vibrate different kinds of way. Sometimes,people could finish some work by vibration theory. But in many cases,vibration is harmful and could affect the user's comfort,even cause giant safe accidents. For examplethe vibration of the wings of a plane in the airflow effect and the vibration of the running cars in the road effect,and so on. So it is necessary controlling the degree and affection of vibration to a principle range,which is called the control of.First,the thesis introduces the types of control of vibration and research at present all over the world. Vibration control is divided into three kindspassive control,active control and semi-active control. Passive control is a traditional method,which structure is simple and the effect of damping vibration is bad. Active control has developed the recently thirty years,which but structure is complicated,cost of building is expensive,effect is good. Semi-active control approaches active control in the effect,but resemble passive control in control device,which structure is simple and cost of building is cheap,so it will be a vibration control system of a good developmental prospect.The second part introduces the composition and work principle of magneto-rheological fluid (MRF),renders the rheological mechanics model of MRF,analyzes the work model of MRF,introduces the application of MRF. In this part,the work model of MRF is divided into fluid model,shearing model and mixed model. And it has analyzed carefully rheological rules of MER in three model,and conducted each other's rheological characteristics equation.The third part designs different kinds of MR dampers,and has analyzed and compared each other's damping force. This part renders three designs of MR damper according to three work model of MR fluid,and conducts out eachother's equation about damping force and input and geometry parameter of damper. This part chooses the third kind of plan and designs its structure,and research the armature piston model MR damper's functions,and analyze the effects to damping force by various materials of MRF,various dimension of geometric and various input electric current. This part point out where it must be pay more attention to in the design of MR dampersThe fourth part of the thesis research the experiments of MR dampers and designs the structure plan about the functions experiment base of MR dampers,and analyzes the experiment device.The last part concludes that MR dampers is one of the very attractive control elements in semi-active control. As one of mixed model MR dampers,armature piston's MR dampers have principle designs good function and better practical value,it's worth to popularize use. About the armature piston's MR damper's designs,the space of work,the diameter of wok and the length of magnetic pole have obvious affects to the force of MR dampers,MR fluid materials should be paid attention,input electric current affects MR dampers greatly The high current increases the damping force,the effect of reduce vibration increase obviously,...
