Several problems of the durability of the reinforced concrete(RC) member in marine environment have been studied in this paper, which includes chloride's ingression in concrete, performance of concrete in marine environment,non-uniform corrosion model of reinforcing bar, initial corrosion of reinforcing bars in concrete beam and mechanical performance of corroded concrete member. The distribution of chloride in different concrete has been studied by chloride concentration lest in this paper. The performance of concrete in marine environment is studied thropgh material and X-ray microstructural examination. The uneven distribution of chloride in concrete around the reinforcing bar in fullscale are obtained through ion chromatography method. Based on Faiadi's theory, and chloride's influence on passivating film,pre-determine model of reinforcing bar uneven corrosion model was established, which can determine the corrosion amount of the reinforcing bar.Through the dry and wet cycling experiment on unmarred beam and pre-cracked beam, the position of initial corrosion and influence of crack on the reinforcing bar corrosion are studied in this paper Both the flexural bearing capacity performance and the material mechanical performance of the beams are studied on the test of full scale concrete beamA model of 3D FEM is established to simulate the state of the actual full-sized RC beam and electronic accelerating test beams, computational results and test results are compared. It proved that the FEM model can simulate the corroded RC beams and can be used in the research and design of concrete structural durability. To illustrate the mechanical property of the corroded concrete beam, test beams are loaded to failure after those had an accelerated galvanic corrosion process. The mechanical property of corroded short beams is carefully studied.
