In recent years, along with increasing social demands, the wide span spatial structures are developing fast. As one of the spatial structures forms, the tension structures are widely applied. The result of tension structures' form finding is the foundation to static analysis. The form finding analysis, usually, includes force density method, dynamic relaxation method, nonlinear finite element method. The research on the dynamic relaxation method in form finding analysis is still inadequate. It has a great significance to use the form finding analysis of the automatic choice parameter dynamic relaxation in practical engineering. Therefore this thesis conducts some research on applying the automatic choice parameter dynamic relaxation in form finding analysis of tension structures. The research includes such aspects as below:1. Research on application of the automatic choice parameter dynamic relaxation in the form finding analysis of tension structures, and try to find out a solution..2. Conducting preliminary discuss on the computation result of the automatic choice parameter dynamic relaxation under conditions such as: cable tension , imbalance forces precision- displacement precision, self-mass and so on.3. The model of nonlinear finite element form finding established by the finite element analysis software ANSYS7. 0 is compared with the model of automatic choice parameter dynamic relaxation form finding established by mathematic software Mathematical 0.4. Establishing a practical construction model by using the automatic choice parameter dynamic relaxation, Then comparing the result with the result by using nonlinear finite element.
