As the rapid development of power electronics and wide application of power electronics equipment, the quality of unity is becoming a serious problem. One of the most important reasons is the wide application of the conventional voltage rectifier. Power factor correction (PFC), active power filter (APF) and so on are proposed in the past few years, which guide a new road to overcome the problem. Because the middle and large power equipments account for heavy proportion and three-phase PFC has important function to solve the pollution to the unity, three-phase PFC has become hot study subject in international power electronics educational circles already. This thesis studies the single-phase and three-phase PFC topologies and their control methods, summarize the characteristics of several representative topologies from a systems analysis' view. Simulation results are analyzed, compared from all sides and verified by experiments. The study results can offer and guide the choice and optimization of various kinds of circuit topologies. In the thesis, a novel single-phase high frequency CCM PFC rectifier is proposed and the experiment results show that the proposed method has remarkable merits.Power electronics system integrate technology is the one of the most great research direction in the following 10-20 years, and determine the rise and decline destiny of the power electronics and its industry. The standardization of circuit topologies is one of the research goals. The work has done in this thesis establishes certain foundation as further research of this direction.
