The paper proposes a model of the damage processes of reinforced concrete frameworks, and give the algorithm of the model by improving the traditional structural analysis method. Through this way, the damage processes of some structures are traced with safety level evaluations.The paper studies the mechanical properties of reinforced concrete beams, and simplify the properties as bi-linear model and adopt the plastic hinge when the section come to yield. Based on this, the collapse mechanism of a structure is that the occurrence of plastic hinges lead to the reduction of the degree of the statical indeterminancy of the structure.According to this damage model, the paper proposes the concept of the generalized element stiffness matrix to improve the tradional structural analysis theory, and then the analysis method of successive cumulative damage processes is introduce. The factors influencing the occurrence of plastic hinges and the searching strategy of new plastic hinges are discussed in detail and the key techniques in programming are also emphasized. Lastly, a complicated structure subjected to complicated loads is analysed through the approach presented in the papers.In addition, the problems concerning programming with C++ language for structural analysis are also discussed.
