Study On CFD Analysis And Redesign For The Centrifugal Hydraulic Pump

On the basis of the rule of Reynolds-averaged, the control equation for incompressible flow are obtained. The numerical procedure is essentially pressure-correction type of finite difference formulation on general curvilinear coordinates system based on pressure as solving variable.By analyzing and commenting on the methods of flow field prediction and a variety of turbulence models, this paper directs that numerical analysis is a kind of important and effective method solved the engineering problems. And standard k- e turbulence model is applied to estimate the Reynolds stress of Reynolds averaged N-S equation. Wall-function is adopted for laminar sub-layer near the surface of the solid wall.By use of CFD analysis technique, velocity distribution and press distribution are gained in the impeller of a prototype centrifugal pump. The influences of the blade profile on speed distributions, press distributions and pump performance are analyzed. The flow regulation pattern in the impeller of a centrifugal pump is also investigated, the redesigning and optimizing scheme of the impeller blade profile is as follows.1. Improving the entry angle of the impeller in a centrifugal pump to adapt for the inflow condition.2. Changing the mount angle of the impeller aerofoil in a centrifugal pump to eliminate eddy entirely.3. Ameliorating thickness along the exit edge of the impeller aerofoil to make outflow angle more even.The results show that a lot of the flow-field information in a centrifugal pump impeller can be obtained by using CFD analysis technique. And a redesign and optimizing method of the impeller blade profile based on CFD analysis technique of 3D turbulent flow is put forward. That is to say, the CFD analysis technique is a very outstanding tool to carry out the redesign and optimizing of the impeller blade profile.
