The application of some new fault diagnosis methods was introduced in this paper and the feasibility of them was validated by experimentation. At the same time, Aim at different characteristic of different rotating machines, the distributed vibration monitoring and fault diagnosis systems that were applied to turbine or pump were developed. The major contents of the paper were as follows:1) The application of some new fault diagnosis methods was studied by experiment. The diagnosis method of net of nerve and fuzzy matrix was researched. The fractal geometry feature of vibration signal under deferent failure conditions is studied also, and the fractal dimensions of different failures are calculated accordingly.2) The vibration monitoring system for turbine was developed. According to the structure of turbine which capability is 200WM, the buffered transducer signal of Philip System was accessed.3) The vibration monitoring system for pump was developed. The system was separated from other DCS system. All the hardware and software were developed over again The data of vibration was transmitted and displayed on web. These systems were applied to practical projects of power plant.
