Most of the exiting dams in our country are earth-rock dam and easy to be danger in the flood season. Impermeable wall made up by mixing grout and dike fill can greatly enhance the flood-resistant ability of the exiting dam. The quality of impermeable wall is affected easily by many factors, so it is very necessary to detect the quality of impermeable wall. Conventional checking way cannot meet the actual need, so it is very important to develop a non-destructive detecting way that can determine the quality of impermeable wall efficiently. In order to establish the non-destructive detecting standard, transverse wave speed is chose as the non-destructive detecting parameter, which strongly correlated with the compressive strength basing on lots of room experiments, and finds the relation between transverse wave speed of cement-soil and its contributory factors. The forecast model of the non-destructive detecting parameter is established by neutral-network toolbox of the MATLAB. By this model, transverse wave speed and compressive strength are got by putting the soil style, cement-soil ratio, water-cement ratio, maintain condition and the time. Rayleigh Surface Wave Exploration Technique is used to get transverse wave speed of impermeable wall, which build on the theory of half space. Impervious wall is thin and deep, so it cannot satisfy the hypothesis of half space. The surface wave theory of impervious wall is analyzed and proves that surface wave speed in impermeable wall is nearly equal with that in plane-strain problem, so the transverse wave speed getting by Rayleigh Surface Wave Exploration Technique can satisfy the precision desire of engineering. Impermeable wall of the dam is very long, so the task is burdensome. High-density seismic image can find problems in impervious wall quickly, so we use it to find out the place that may has problem, then use Rayleigh Surface Wave Exploration Technique to give more detecting. In this way, the non-destructive detecting speed is increased. We research the appropriate way in non-destructive detecting by High-density seismic image and Raleigh Surface Wave Exploration Technique. Finally a non-destructive detecting way is established to examine the quality of impermeable wall that proved to be effective by actual engineering.
