A Study On Landscape Design Of The Yellow River Riverfront In Lanzhou

Aiming at the current situation and problems of the reclaim and construction for the Yellow River riverfront landscape in Lanzhou, as well as the natural landscape characteristics of the riverway changing progressively, the thesis sums up characteristics of Lanzhou on the culture, economy, urban planning and oecology etc, and the interaction between those and Lanzhou riverfront. Based on the above, the principles and outlines, which should be kept to during various phases of landscape design on Lanzhou riverfront, are concluded as a whole. In addition, the thesis primarily sums up the pattern and research structure of landscape design, which are fit for the local situation and can bring all-around avail of urban riverfront into play adequately. Consequently, from the macroscopical, the results of the thesis are expected to be not only instructional for landscape design practice on Lanzhou riverfront, but also referenced for the numerous riverside towns on loess plateau.The thesis is divided into four pieces.The first piece is the introduction. It expounds the background, meaning and structure of the research, together with some concepts on urban riverfront landscape design; the historic background, situateion and reclaim types of the urban riverfront development in China are introduced.The second piece is on situation and development. The development situation of Lanzhou city is introduced; the water system of city, the vicissitude of the Yellow River's function and the relationship of space morpha between river and city in Lanzhou are formulated, together with the current situation and problems of the reclaim and construction for the Yellow River riverfront landscape in Lanzhou.The third piece is on establishing the principles of urban riverfront landscape design in Lanzhou, under the direction of the research on Lanzhou riverfront in various specialty fields. Through analyzing characteristics of Lanzhou on the culture, economy, urban planning and oecology etc, the interaction between those and urban riverfront is probed into; based on the above, the piece sums up the principles and outlines which should be kept to during the course of landscape design on Lanzhou riverfront.The last piece mainly discusses the metods of riverfront landscape planning in Lanzhou. Aiming at the situation of development around Lanzhou riverfront, the piece researches on landscape planning of Lanzhou riverfront, based on the research in the third piece. It includes the subareas of riverfront landscape, establishing of riverfront landscape structure and landscape design of riverfront space node.
