The large diameter cast-in-situ rock-socketed piles have been used more and more on the constructural design of high-rise buildings . There was not an unitive design standard at present in our country . Some design codes consider the design of large diameter cast-in-situ rock-socketed piles ,but it still has a large distance to be used in practice . The problem caculating bearing capacity of the large diameter cast-in-situ rock-socketed piles has been discussed from theory to engineering practice in this paper , and some viable design instances which have been proved in the engineering practice have been put forward.
